The last time Squid Game fans saw Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), he was at his lowest — physically and emotionally. The Korean drama’s protagonist ends the Season 2 finale lying on the ground, grieving the sudden death of his closest friend, Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan), and the failure of his attempted rebellion. Now it’s time for Gi-hun to stand up again. Squid Game Season 3 is here, revealing the final chapters of Player 456’s story.
“We’ll see how Gi-hun returns to the game arena and faces the challenges and games ahead,” creator and director Hwang Dong-hyuk tells Tudum. “The story focuses on Seong Gi-hun’s transformation and how he overcomes what comes his way.”
The newly released images below hint at what’s in store for Gi-hun, his enigmatic antagonist the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), and more characters caught in the terrifying competition. In one of the photos, you see a devastated Gi-hun handcuffed to a bed in the player dormitory. Lee Jung-jae empathized deeply with his character while filming Squid Game’s final six episodes.
I thought about the guilt Gi-hun must have felt with so many people dying, especially his close friend Jung-bae — I thought he couldn’t be of sound mind,” the actor tells Tudum. However, he hints at a certain conversation in Season 3 completely changes Gi-hun’s outlook. “This scene could be very touching … and it says a lot about how we too can’t live on our own, and no matter what unfortunate things come our way, all you can do is just go on living.”
You’ll need to tune into Squid Game Season 3 — now streaming — to see the emotional moment yourself. Keep reading to prepare for all the action ahead, as Squid Game jumps into its final round. From the plot and photos to so much more, we’ve got you covered like a tracksuit.
A failed rebellion, the death of a friend, and a secret betrayal — Squid Game Season 3 picks up in the aftermath of Season 2’s bloody cliff-hanger. Although Gi-hun is at his lowest point yet, the Squid Game stops for no one. So Gi-hun will be forced to make some important choices in the face of overwhelming despair as he and the surviving players are thrust into deadlier games that test everyone’s resolve. With each round, their choices lead to increasingly grave consequences.
Meanwhile, In-ho resumes his role as Front Man to welcome the mysterious VIPs, and his brother Jun-ho (Wi Ha-jun) continues his search for the elusive island, unaware there’s a traitor in their midst. Will Gi-hun make the right decisions, or will the Front Man finally break his spirit?

Real Madrid defeated Salzburg 3-0 in a Club World Cup match
Vinicius Junior scored one and set up another as Real Madrid advanced to the last 16 of the Club World Cup with a 3-0 win over Salzburg in Philadelphia.
Having been held to a 1-1 draw by Al-Hilal in their opening game in Group H before overcoming Pachuca, Xabi Alonso's men needed a draw on Thursday to be assured of qualification and a win to be certain of top spot.
They could have broken through in the 20th minute as Vinicius was released by an excellent Jude Bellingham throughball, but Christian Zawieschitzky smothered his shot.
However, Vinicius made no mistake after another latching onto another pinpoint Bellingham pass in the 40th minute, checking inside his marker then firing into the bottom-right corner on his left foot.
Madrid doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time, with Vinicius involved again. After Mamady Diambou deflected Arda Guler's pass into his path, the Brazilian teed up Federico Valverde with a clever backheel, and the midfielder finished low across goal.
Valverde went close to a spectacular third following the restart, after Adam Daghim had worked Thibaut Courtois at his near post, but Madrid made sure of the points in the 84th minute.
Gonzalo Garcia stole possession from Joane Gadou before lifting a deft, chipped finish over Zawieschitzky, scoring his second goal of the tournament as he continues to fill in for Kylian Mbappe.
Madrid will now face Group G runners-up Juventus in the last 16, with Al-Hilal joining them in the knockout stages after beating Pachuca 2-0.
Salem Al Dawsari gave Simone Inzaghi's team a 22nd-minute lead with a wonderful lob after latching onto a bouncing ball from namesake Nasser Al Dawsari, then Marcos Leonardo stayed onside to score a late clincher. Al-Hilal will face Manchester City in the round of 16.
Data Debrief: Madrid coast through
Madrid were frustrated by Al Hilal in their first game under Alonso, but it has been plain sailing for Los Blancos since then.
Having also beaten Pachuca 3-1 on matchday two, they have seen 12 of their 15 victories at the Club World Cup (including all previous formats) come by a margin of two or more goals.
Alonso's team finished with 12 shots, which was matched by Salzburg, but Madrid's 1.69 expected goals to the Austrian team's 1.06 indicates they created the better opportunities.
While their hopes of a record-extending sixth Club World Cup crown are still alive, Al-Hilal are the only Asian side to reach the last 16, joining nine clubs from Europe, four from South America (all from Brazil) and two from North and Central America.

Australia vs West Indies, 1st Test: Windies Pacers Dominate as Australia Collapse in Barbados
Barbados, June 26, 2025 — The West Indies fast bowlers produced a sensational display of pace and precision as Australia crumbled in the opening Test at Kensington Oval, Barbados. On a lively pitch offering bounce and movement, the Windies pace attack tore through the Australian batting order, showcasing the resurgence of Caribbean fast bowling.
Australia, who won the toss and opted to bat first, were bundled out for a mere [insert score, e.g., 185] in their first innings. The collapse was triggered early by [insert key bowler, e.g., Alzarri Joseph], who picked up [e.g., 4 wickets] and consistently troubled the Aussie top order with his sharp pace and swing. [Other notable pacers, e.g., Kemar Roach or Jayden Seales] supported brilliantly, leaving Australia reeling and unable to build partnerships.
Only [top scorer, e.g., Marnus Labuschagne or Steve Smith] showed some resistance with a gritty [e.g., 47-run] knock, but the lack of support from the other end proved costly.
In reply, West Indies started steadily, reaching [insert score, e.g., 75/2] at stumps on Day 1, putting themselves in a commanding position.
The dominant performance from the Windies pacers has put the hosts in early control of the match, and fans are hopeful of a rare home Test victory against the Aussies.
As the Test progresses, all eyes will be on whether Australia can fight back or if the Caribbean pace battery continues its fiery run.
